Well, that hurt! I gave up all that to move into a position to draft Bradford....thinking, well a team with a young starting QB in the NFL certainly wouldn't draft another one? This after all summer I tried to trade for said QB (aka: Sanchez) but was told, "nah, I don't want to trade him because he has a great future".

Go figure....

I think i've been snookered!

Do I sound bitter? YOU BET YOUR ASS I AM! lol.... all in fun.

This is for fun, just starting the banter over this year’s draft. I put on a brown suit and channeled my inner Mel Kiper and voila! Have fun, I take no responsibility for getting these completely wrong J

ASFLC Mock Draft

1. Wyoming: Ndamukong Suh, DT Det (6-12-1*)

· With Joe Flacco ably manning the QB position, Wyoming finds itself in the comfortable role of not needing to draft a QB. Suh will step into the middle of the Knight’s 4-3 defense for years to come.

2. Oklahoma: Sam Bradford, QB StL (76.5 rating)

· With Kevin Kolb and Vince Young in the wings and the ineffective Trent Edwards, Oklahoma is in need of a franchise QB. Arian Foster should take some of the load off a young QB giving Bradford plenty of time to develop in Oklahoma (and allowing the trade of either Kolb or Young).

3. Tustin: Colt McCoy, QB Cle (75.5 rating)

· With quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and Brady Quinn on the roster, Tustin finds itself in need of a qb. Fortunately for Tustin Colt McCoy is still on the board. Tustin breaths a sigh of relief and drafts McCoy as Hasselbeck’s understudy and future successor.

4. Los Angeles: Devin McCourty, CB NE (6-0)

· Los Angeles has Alex Smith at quarterback and with no qb left in the draft of Smith’s ability, Los Angeles looks to address other needs. LA has stellar offensive skill guys in McCoy and Johnson, but there is a definite hole in the defensive secondary. McCourty had a breakout campaign in his rookie season and he’ll be in LA as a shut down corner.

5. Longview: Earl Thomas, S Sea (5-0)

· The Earl of King County is roaming Seattle’s defense in the manner of the once great Kenny Easley. Longview has a tailback by committee with Green, Wells & Tomlinson and Blount would not necessarily be a good fit. Dez Bryant or Mike Williams (TB) may be a nice compliment to Marshall, but #5 may be too high for them. Other options may be Pouncey to replace an aging Kreutz or even trading down to get additional players.

6. Motor City: Eric Berry, S KC (5-0)

· Berry steps right in next to Weddle and gives Motor City a young hard hitting defensive backfield. Motor City has needs at receiver, but this may be too high a pick for Bryant or Williams. Additionally, Motor City lacks a DE and a solid OG (with the retirement of Faneca). Berry fills a needed position though and Motor City snatches him up at #6.

7. Mercer: Joe Haden, CB Cle (5-0)

· With an aging McNabb what Mercer really needs is a changing of the guard at quarterback. Mercer has a nasty offensive line in place and they could use depth at OG, but #7 might be too early for Iupati. Instead, Mercer opts to add youth to its defensive backfield. Other options may be to trade up for McCoy, trade down for more picks or to grab Blount.

8. New York: Rolando McClain, MLB Oak (4-4)

· This team is loaded at qb with Rodgers and Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick may be the perfect trade bait for those teams in need of a young QB. Mendenhall, Lewis & Boldin give Rodgers plenty of weapons and the offensive line is solid. The Defense though has 8 players listed as being able to play DE and very little depth at linebacker. New York does find itself in need of LB and McClain fits the bill. Other considerations: OLB Misi or DT McCoy.

9. Rochester: Maurkice Pouncey, C Pit (6-5)

· Rochester is another loaded team that benefits from an early draft position. QB Eli Manning has a wealth of options from Turner and Jackson to Smtih and Britt. Rochester has a strong defensive unit, but the offensive line is lacking a smash mouth center. Luckily for Rochester, Maurkice Pouncey is available and the All-Pro rookie will be a great fit.

10. Seaside: Dez Bryant, WR Dal (45 rec/12.5 avg)

· Seaside has a solid offense with Schaub, Clark and Forte, but Seaside needs deep threat to keep the opposing defense’s FS honest. Dez Bryant will make any team pay for attempting to stuff the line.

11. Bucky: Gerald McCoy, DT/DE TB (4-4)

· This team is stacked with depth across the offensive line and the linebackers are led by Willis and Briggs. Another beast to plug the run in the middle of the defensive line is needed and Gerald McCoy is the man.

12. Big Grove: Nate Allen, S Phi (4-0)

· Michael Vick will have a tremendous year with the help of Hillis, Heap, Shiancoe, Jackson, Wallace, Evans and Lloyd. Big Grove is perhaps the deepest team at the offensive skill positions. There is some concern on the offensive line, but this may be addressed later in the draft. Big grove needs some playmakers at safety and Nate Allen is the man.

13. Norfolk: Koa Misi, OLB Mia (4-8)

· A quarterback to take limited snaps after Romo’s injury would be a good fit, but none exist. In any case, Gore, Jackson, Harvin and Jennings will provide enough electricity to the Norfolk Offense. Some offensive line depth may be needed as well, but with an opening at OLB, Norfolk selects a wrecking ball out of Utah, Koa Misi.

14. Blackburn: Rob Gronkowski, TE NE (42 rec/13.0 avg; 4-4)

· Blackburn has two solid qb’s in Cassel & Hill and whichever one plays, he’ll have an assortment of weapons. After trading for Crumpler, Blackburn is in need of a young TE who can block and run some routes and the best one on the board is Gronkowski. Gronzilla is absolute beast who will add production to the passing game and help Bradshaw pick up the tough yards.

15. Ann Arbor: Bryan Bulaga, OT GB (5-4)

· Matt Ryan is good young quarterback to have on any team, but in order to be effective, he needs to be upright. McFadden will help keep opposing FS honest, but the need here is offensive line depth and Bulaga will instantly help out.

16. Motor City (From Wisconsin): Carlos Dunlap, DE Cin (0-10)

· Motor City picks to fill a need position as the team has one nasty pass rusher at end in Justin Tuck. Dunlap will fill out the DL nicely. Other considerations are Blount as the owner is a known Oregon homer and Lamarr Houston another quality young DE.

17. Orange County: Mike Williams, WR TB (25-19-12 Guessed Right)

· Orange County has a solid ground game with Jones-Drew and Gates is a one of the best TE’s in the set. Orange County does need help from its receives to loosen up teams stacking against Jones-Drew. Williams had a great year in Tampa Bay and it's highly likely that he will not drop this far, but if he does, Orange County is there to grab him.

18. Waunakee: Russell Okung, OT Sea (4-4)

· Kurt Warner has left for the broadcast booth and Waunakee is in severe need of a QB to lead the team for the next few years. This pick could be packaged and traded, but if not another area to address is the offensive line b/c regardless of who takes the snaps, they need a guy like Okung to replace the aging Tauscher. Roger Saffold may also make sense here as well.

19. Chatham: T.J. Ward, S Cle (4-0)

· Chatham is socked full of talent at QB with Rivers and Freeman. Expect one to be traded for a haul of picks and talent. After that the team could use some Offensive line depth, but Ward fills a needed position as safety opposite Harper. Trent Williams and Mike Iupati are other considerations here as well.

20. DaGints: Tyson Alualu, DT Jac (4-5)

· DaGints are stocked with solid defensive talent and it would not be a surprise to see them select a young corner like Verner or Robinson. TE may also be an option b/c Tom Brady does like to dump off to his TE’s though and Moeaki is a solid receiver that would compliment DaGints passing attack. At the end of the day though, DaGints have a nasty defense and Alualu stands in as the next generation of dominance for DaGints.

21. Memphis: Ryan Matthews, HB SD (158 carries/4.3 avg.)

· Memphis is loaded for another run this season. The defense is stingy and and the offensive skill positions are manned well by Roethlisberger, Miller, J-Stew and Calvin Johnson. Memphis can afford a little prospecting here and they go with Matthews over Blount based upon the perceived upside of Matthews. This team is known for its D though and drafting another young stud lineman would not be a surprise.

22. Philly: LeGarrette Blount, HB TB (35 SG, 3 LG)

· Philly is loaded for another run deep into the ASFLC playoffs. An intimidating offensive line and a stingy defense, but Philly lacks a quarterback. Mark Sanchez appears to be the heir apparent, but his strat card only includes 22 chances (lower than Matt Moore and Derek Anderson btw). Philly is an active team and it wouldn’t be a total shock to see this team wind up with another franchise qb. Failing that, Philly also needs a beast at running back and “Blount Force Trauma” has a nasty card.

23. Madison: Trent Williams, OT Was (4-4)

· The runner up in the ASFLC has some good skill players and potentially the most frightening card in the game with Jamaal Charles. Truly a back that can score from anywhere on the field. The defense is solid, but the offensive line, while good enough to get to the championship game, could use an infusion of youth. Williams will work out well in Madison. Mike Iupati or Roger Saffold could also go here and they would help a young line as well.

24. Mashers: Anthony Armstrong, WR Was (21-16-15 G.R.)

· The champs are loaded again at defense and have a huge offensive line, anchored by Jake Long. The Mashers could use another receiver to go with a strong collection of TE’s (Davis & Miller). Armstrong had a monster year with 44 catches for 19.8 avg. He can help take double teams off Davis and provide for the long ball…a scary thought for a team with Drew Brees as its QB.

What the Buzzards can offer is limited: some 2010 QB insurance going into the draft in Shaun Hill (DEN; 416 att.); one of a handful of relatively young WRs in Lance Moore (NON; 66 rec.), Jason Avant (PHN; 51) and Earl Bennett (CHN; 46); a pair of solid back-up/hole-plugger C's in Dominic Raiola (DEN; 4/5) and Geoff Hangartner (BFA; 4/5), which provide some draft protection. Blackburn also has all of its draft picks and will consider anything past the first two rounds; it also has some roster space, if my calculations are correct, to consider two for one and draft pick(s).

I have some secondary needs as well which can be factored so long as at least one of my SS/OT spots is included. I can take over 100 carries, but an 99-under guy works pretty well at No. 3. A 5+ TE/BB would be considered. And I can always use help on the DL, especially a pass-rush DT.

Give me a holler if you have ideas.

ASFLC; Players Available 2010 Season

Motor City has the following players available prior to the start of the 2010 season:

HB Joseph Addai (116 carries in 2010, primary back for Indy);
HB Michael Bush (158 carries in 2010, back up to McFadden in Oak)
MLB Takeo Spikes 5-0 rated for the 2010 season
DE Juqua Parker 0-8 rated DE for Philly in 2010
DE/OLB Andre Carter 0-7 for Was in 2010

Looking For:
DE with a rating vs the Run; Safety with a 4 rating; A TE who can catch the ball; younger OG; Younger DT's and of course Picks

I don't have any sacred cows on the roster, but obviously some players would require significantly more trade value (for example, Green-Ellis, C. Hampton etc.).

*Edited*
Going to keep Stafford for at least one more year. Thanks for the good offers
