The hosting Rochester Absolut Goofs could never get untracked mostly due to a wave of penalties that stymied drive after drive. The Grays took advantage of the long situations resulting in two picks of Rochester QB Eli Manning who would suffer a miserable game where he completed a mere 5 passes in 17 attempts. The A-Goofs' Tike Barber did yeoman-like work carrying the ball 23 times for 133 yards but was held without a TD.
Camden's offense was in a grind it out mood. RB Thomas Jones continued his resurgence gaining 111 yards on some 23 carries before allowing Ruben Droughns to finish out the game once the issue was no longer in doubt. The QB tandem of Akili Smith and Kurt Warner were efficient in moving the chains all night long although their numbers do not appear great. Smith completed 14 of his 28 tosses for just 97 yards while Warner connected on 5 of his 7 for 39 yards. In all, the Grays totalled 23 first downs while Rochester was able to get just 10 but the penalty bug took huge bites out of the A-Goofs' attack. Kenny O was very gracious an his team deserved a better fate. He called a fine game but could not et any breaks at all.
