Da Gints spank Norfolk 38-7
The big showdown never materialized as DaGints bolt to a 21-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. Derek Anderson was a miserable 8 for 27, 105 yds 1 TD 1 pick, 4 sacks. Frank Gore quietly ran for 105 yards but many after the issue had been decided and DaGints playing prevent.
Tom Brady was 22/33 for 264 yards and DaGints added 120 more on the ground. They led in 1st downs 24-9 and had the ball 60 percent of the time. Da Gints improve to 5-0 and the Neptunes fall to 3-2. Norfolk travels to Chatham after the Thanksgiving Holiday and DaGints travel to Darien.

Philadelphia drops DT John McCargo and DE Erasmus James and picks up DT Jimmy Wilkerson and DT Brandon McKinney
Chatham 31 Oklahoma 30
This one seemed to be in the bag for Oklahoma when they ran out to a 14-0 first quarter lead. Fred Taylor seemed unstoppable. But slowly Chatham clawed back and after a field goal by OK made uit 30-24 about 2 minutes left, the Coyotes mounted a game winning drive. Aided by a lucky pass that Houshmanzadeh caught even though he was double teamed which got the ball to the 4 yard line with seconds left. Phillip Rivers then hooked up with TJ for the game winner as time expired. Final 31-30 giving Chatham its first win of the year. Rivers threw for 3 scores and Peterson ran for 117 yards. Taylor carroed 23 times for 195 yards in a losing effort for Oklahoma. Good game Bill!

Camden Blanks Tustin 17-0
In a game marred by offensive injuries (McNabb, Gonzalez, Isaac Bruce, Peters, and Lorenzo Neal), the Camden defense pitched a shutout at Campbell's Field. The game featured stout defense and special teams play, including a blocked field goal.
Shaun Hill took over from a banged up McNabb rather early in the game, and posted an impressive 111.6 QB Rating with 2TD and 0 picks. Thomas Jones also posted another 100+ yard performance.

Norfolk tops Ann Arbor on final play, 34-31
TJ Duckett scored on a 1 yard plunge (because he's too fat to dive) as time expired to lift the Norfolk Neptunes to a 34-31 win at home. With the defense keying on Frank Gore, Duckett was able to creep through the middle of the line stealing back the game from Ann Arbor which had seemingly won the game only 90 seconds earlier as Ryan Grant danced through Norfolk's goal line on a 2 yard run finishing a 15 play 80 yard drive that chewed up over 6 minutes and the home coach conceding victory....but
The Neptunes marched 80 yards with 10 plays in 75 seconds. With 2nd and 10 at the Neptune 20, Derek Anderson completed a look-in to Dwayne Bowe that gained 30 yards. Two plays later from the Avenger 45, Anderson connected w/ Bowe on a 42 yard bomb to the Ann Arbor 3 w/22 seconds left. Anderson spiked the ball. Gore lost 1 yard on a great play by Barrett Ruud. Then two conscutive penalties against Ann Arbor moved the ball to the 1 where Duckett punched it over.
The Neptunes were dominated by Ann Arbor as it cruised to a 24-7 lead, before getting up off the deck. The game featured only one turnover which led to Norfolk getting a FG taking its first lead. Norfolk runs it record to 3-1 setting up a division showdown w/ John Croyts Dagints squad. Ann Arbor (0-4) desrved a better fate.

Norfolk escapes with 23-20 win in Rochester
The Norfolk Neptunes escaped Rochester with a 23-20 over the Absolut Goofs. Tonite the home team lived up to its name turning the ball over 7 times with 5 picks and 2 lost fumbles. Still the Goofs appeared to call the perfect play when Coach Kenny Oberg called for a look-in pass from reserve QB Kyle Boller to DeAngelo Williams which was seemingly left wide open by the Neptune defense, but the ball was somehow picked off by LB Terrell Suggs at the Norfolk 10 and the "Tunes" ran out the final minute.
Frank Gore led the Neps with 136 yards rushing on 24 carries and Derek Anderson threw TD passes to Dwayne Bowe and Greg Jennings that had opened up a 14-3 lead for the visitors until Rochester mounted a rally that saw them take the lead 17-14 at half. Phil Dawson added three FG's including the game winner with over 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.
Norfolk improves to 2-1 and Rochester falls to 0-3.

Camden 13 Chatham 0
Camden came to Chatham and pitched a shutout, thanks to a couple of Coyotes turnovers in the red zone. Thomas Jones rambled for 192 yards to lead the ball control offense of Camden. Chatham's Adrian Peterson managed 101 yards rushing but continued his tendency of rolling off the defense's card. Good game Gregg!
