ASFLC Super Bowl

the MASHERS beat the RAMS in convincing style 31-17 but the game wasn't that close. Outcoached and outmanned the Rams could do nothing. For the first 50 minutes of the game they managed a measly three points. The punter was on the field more than the cheerleaders. Late in the game, yes, MR. NFL defensive player of the year, James Harrison did intercept a pass and run it back all the way for a TD and, yes, later in the game, when it was over, Jeff Garcia woke up and completed a few passes for a late TD. Still, had the refs not pulled out the laundry early and often against the MASHERS, the score at halftime could easily have been 35-3. The Rams were accused of paying the refs as much as an AIG executive but that's not true. All we did was promise them a party after the game with dancing . . . . ...Well, never mind. The point is this game was more of a mismatch than David and Goliath only, on this occassion, Goliath won.

Were the Rams outcoached. No question about it. When Galloway goes without a catch and Engram has but 3 for a measly 37 yards, that's called shutting down the offense. Jamal Lewis galloped for 47 yards on one occassion and only mustered 59 yards on the next 18 carries, hardly all pro calibre while the triumvirate of Young, Ward, and Westbrook ran as freely as the bulls in Pampano, Spain amassing 270 yards on the ground.

It was a slaughter from start to finish and that's the way it should be. The better team won.
